In Honor of Hunger Action Month, Stop & Shop teamed up with the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and Young Family Farm to donate 5 tons of fresh produce to local hunger-relief agencies including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, East Bay Community Action Newport and Little Compton Assistance Association to benefit local families in need.

On-site at the Young Family Farm, Stop & Shop associates and Rhode Island Community Food Bank staff packed 1,000 bags with fresh produce including baby carrots, tomatoes and zucchini – in addition to potatoes and kabocha squash from Young Family Farm.

Stop & Shop is proud to join the movement in taking a stand against hunger by providing Rhode Island communities with fresh produce, which is so critical during this public health crisis.
